If we’re not careful, we christians can

act just as worldly and ungodly as those

in the world who don’t have

salvation through our Lord

Jesus Christ.

They’re just living a normal life in today’s world.

And they won’t know how to act any do differently

unless we show our faith in

What is your mood today? Is your world falling apart? Is a friend or family member going through a terrible bout with Cancer? Maybe one has Alzheimer’s or another life-threatening disease. What about you–you have battles of your own to contend with, don’t you?

When others are used to seeing you happy, it’s unnerving to them if you have an emotionless, empty day. You tell yourself what the Apostle Paul said about being content in all circumstances (Philippians 4:11)  then you try to lift yourself up out of your grief because that’s what is expected of you as a christian. You know you’ll pray about the situation, just not yet. And anyway, God knows all about it, so He could fix this thing that has such a hold on you if He really wanted to, right?

This is the reason we are supposed to have fellowship with other believers, so they can lift us up in prayer. They can grieve with us and hold our hand through our turmoil. The bible states “where two or three are gathered in my name, I will be in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20). Letting someone know how you’re feeling so they can console you and lift you up in prayer is vitally important.  Anyone can lift your spirits with the right words, but only a fellow believer will offer to pray on your behalf. And that makes all the difference because you both know who will be your true comforter. God will also give you peace about the situation(Philippians 4:7). He loves you and doesn’t want you to worry(Luke 12:22-26). There’s nothing like true christian friendship. You know where your help lies. After prayer, you feel refreshed and ready to face the outcome of the situation. Don’t give Satan a foothold. Pray and look up, not down.
